• #koth on Gamesurge IRC is now the official meeting place for teams 15 minutes prior to all KotH match-ups. Due to broadcast schedules, it is important that these matches begin on time.

1. Register your team at http://www.steelseries.com/us/events. Registration will be open until we reach a comfortable amount of teams, If you want to participate, do not delay!
2. Reference the Event Calendar for dates detailing each Voting Week and Match-up.
3. Each Voting Week, teams will be listed on GotFrag.com to be voted on by the community.
4. If there is no current King, the two teams with the most votes will be placed into a head to head match-up the following Tuesday. The remaining teams in the Top 5 on the GotFrag poll will stay in place for the next Voting Week. The bottom 10 teams will go to the bottom of the Waiting List queue.
5. The winner of each match will take home $250 cash, be crowned the SteelSeries " King of the Hill", and will stay up to face a new challenger the following Tuesday. The loser will go to the bottom of the queue along with that Voting Week's bottom teams.
6. The Wednesday following a match-up, a new Voting Week will begin on GotFrag. New teams will be added from the queue to fill in the 15 slot voting pool (Active List) alongside the previous week's survivors and a new challenger will be selected by the community to face the current King of the Hill.
7. This process will continue indefinitely (for now), and every Tuesday a match-up will be played for $250 cash!
8. Note that there absolutely no match rescheduling will be permitted. All matches will be played Tuesday, 9:30pm EST.
9. The King of the Hill must notify tournament administrators via Support Ticket one week in advance if they cannot make a scheduled match-up. Under this scenario, the King will be rotated down into the Top 5 voting pool, and the next higest voted team will replace them.
10. Should the King of the Hill fail to notify administrators of a scheduling conflict or inability to participate, the King will forfeit their postion and be moved to the bottom of the queue (Waiting List). Challengers that fail to show for their matches will be removed from the event. Any teams missing a match will be replaced immediately by the team from that voting week with the next highest votes received. Therefore, 2nd and 3rd place voted upon teams should be on standby Tuesday evenings.
11. Teams that achieve 5 consecutive match wins will be entered into the SteelSeries Hall of Kings, making them eligible for a special event to be announced later this year.
12. After winning 5 consecutive match-ups, teams entered into the Hall of Kings will not be eligible to participate in King of the Hill match-ups prior to the Hall of Kings event, yielding the opportunity for other teams to prove themselves worthy of the top tier Hall of Kings.

ESEA Client: REQUIRED - You must DOWNLOAD and install the ESEA Client in order to participate in KotH matches. Read the Online Gaming Guide for instructions on how to use the client.

*Note that the King of the Hill format and rules are subject to change at the discretion of tournament administrators.

Please note that all King of the Hill prizes will be mailed directly to the Team Captain or Manager once all three of the following conditions have been met...

1. The team is no longer King of the Hill (either by loss or Hall of Kings entrance).
2. The prize recipient's W9 form has been received.
3. The recipients's address has been verified.

All payments will be sent out promptly upon meeting these conditions. If prompt action is taken by the participant, payments are often received in around 1 week.
